Meanwhile, outside the DNC…

I wonder why I have a press pass to the floor of the DNC at all.  It’s not as if anyone has any doubts about the outcome.  Barack Obama will accept the nomination before a crowd of adoring millions as the orchestra strikes up “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina!”  I may yet eat these words if Hillary stages a last minute coup d’etat, but that’s unlikely to happen.  In this movie, the handsome young hero wins the day, while his rival, the icy harpie, can only shake her fist in defeat and slink back to Chappaqua. The screenplay is already done.  Far more interesting is the story outside the Pepsi Center.  While I have to head back to the floor tonight, I wanted to make a quick update to AoG with photos of today’s protest at the federal court house in downtown Denver.  I’ll revise this post later with details…

The demonstrators approach like a high school production of Les Misérables.
